Some of the 'apology' links put in place last year have finally been
replaced by links to the appropriate files which are now held on DropBox.
There are still some apology links that will be removed when I update the
files to which they need to link. Oh for time to actually update/rewrite
the site! ... and a new version (v3) of DatMap is currently being tested!

I have had to put some 'apology' links into various places (Green Sheffield and My Software) since
Orange.co.uk have chosen to trash the old Wanadoo SiteBuilder FTP site
where I kept several larger download files. In the short term I can only
apologise. In the longer term, I will try and find them new homes.

More bits has been added to the 'My Software' page including ExifInfo, a
REALbasic Class for extracting Exif/IPTC Metadata from image files, FileInfo,
a utility for investigating file structures and content, and a new version
of NupPrint.

The long redundant Teashop Guide has now been removed from the site. Most
of the establishments listed were now either defunct or significantly
changed - many not for the better! Some day (perhaps) I will start using
the Blog as I originally intended and this will become the new Teashop Guide.
I have also removed the Woodturning pages - apologies to anyone who has
come here from the listings of this site in places such as the Google
Directories. The pages were now well out of date and (to be honest) I'm
not really doing much turning these days.

A new version of DatMap (v2.2) is now available - lots of little treaks,
mainly internal and bug-fixes. Additional on-screen help, and a new
option to add an outline to filled symbols.
... and a new version of the ToDoList software

A test version of DatMap v2 is now available on the 'My Software' page.
As with v1, this software produces distribution maps from raw data, but
now provides a range of new facilities, including the use of OS NGR Grid
References (apologies for the tautology!), additional symbols and other
layout options.

A page has been added to link to copies of two of my papers relating to the
'green' credentials of Sheffield and its surrounding area.

I have been seduced by the Blog culture, partly as a replacement for the
Teashop Guide. A link to my Blog has been added to the menu.

'My' Software has been split out from 'Misc' Software and NupPrint added. NupPrint is a utility
to provide flexible 'N-up' printing of folders of images.

DatMap and DisMap added to the Software page. Both are utilities for mapping
geographical data - full details are accessible from the Software page.

Family History updated to include information about my personal tree.

Family History section added. Very much a work in progress.

New Site let out into the big wide world. Some text is still missing from
the Turning galleries, but they are now a bit more sensibly arranged and a
bit more slick.
New sections have been added showing misc software and links. They are
there for my convenience, but anyone is welcome to use them if they find
them useful.
